DIGIQUEST 2K26 – World Computer Literacy Day Celebrations
The Department of Computer Science, Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, organized DIGIQUEST 2K26 in connection with World Computer Literacy Day on 21 January 2026 at 10.00 AM in the College Auditorium.
The program featured engaging events such as Quizz Buzz and Pixel Art, aimed at enhancing students’ digital awareness, creativity, and computer literacy. The events encouraged active participation and fostered interest in technology among students.
The program was coordinated under the guidance of Ms. Anagha K J, Head of the Department of Computer Science, with Mr. Gokul Sona serving as the staff coordinator. DIGIQUEST 2K26 was a vibrant and informative initiative that successfully promoted digital skills and technological enthusiasm among the participants.

DIGIQUEST 2K26: Session on Cyber Security and AI
The Department of Computer Science, Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, organized DIGIQUEST 2K26, a session on Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence, on 21 January 2026 at 1:00 PM. The program aimed to enhance students’ awareness of emerging technologies and digital security challenges.
The session was handled by Mr. Jaikishen Ramakrishnan, Center Director, Jetking Infotrain Kochi Ltd, who shared valuable insights on current trends in cyber security and the growing role of AI in safeguarding digital systems. The interactive session helped students understand real-world applications and career opportunities in the field.
The program was informative and engaging, contributing significantly to the technical knowledge and industry exposure of the participants.

Faculty Enrichment Program on Artificial Intelligence in Research
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, organized a Faculty Enrichment Programme on the topic “Artificial Intelligence in Research” on 21 January 2026. The session was held at the IIIrd Year B.Com Finance Class.
The program was led by Ms. Grace Santhosh, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work, as the resource person. The session provided valuable insights into the application of artificial intelligence in academic research, highlighting its relevance, tools, and emerging trends. The program enriched the participants’ understanding and encouraged the effective integration of AI in research practices.

15-Day Intensive Employability Skills Training Workshop
Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, organized a 15-Day Intensive Employability Skills Training Workshop from 5 January 2026 to 21 January 2026 in collaboration with Infosys under Project Genesis. The programme was designed to enhance students’ career readiness by bridging the gap between academic learning and corporate expectations.
The training focused on developing language and soft skills, quantitative aptitude, and confidence to face the job market. This initiative marked a significant step towards ensuring that students are well-equipped with essential employability skills and prepared to meet industry demands effectively.

Hands & Hues: Crafting Joy Together – Skill Enhancement Program
The Department of English, Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, organised a Skill Enhancement Programme titled “Hands & Hues: Crafting Joy Together” on 20 January 2026 from 10.00 AM to 11.00 AM at Snehadeepthy Special School, Mannuthy.
The programme was led by Ms. Akshatha A S, Assistant Professor, Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, as the resource person. The session focused on creative activities that encouraged joy, self-expression, and inclusive learning among students.
The program was well received and successfully coordinated by the student coordinator Vibha Raveendran K R, reflecting the Department’s commitment to community engagement and skill development.

Workshop on Entrepreneurship
The Department of Commerce organized a workshop on Entrepreneurship on 15th January 2026. The session was handled by Ms. Sowpna Kallingal, an Agri-Entrepreneur. She shared her entrepreneurial journey, challenges, and opportunities in the field of agriculture. The workshop motivated students to develop entrepreneurial skills and inspired them to explore self-employment opportunities.

Workshop on Job Interview Tips and Communication Skills
A Workshop on Job Interview Tips and Communication Skills was conducted on 13 January 2026 at Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, in association with Edroots. The session began at 9:30 AM and focused on job interview preparation, communication skills, public speaking, and English proficiency.
The workshop was led by Mr. Al Ameen, Academic Advisor, who explained common interview questions, self-introduction, and ways to improve communication. The programme was informative and helped students build confidence and improve their employability skills.

7s Football Tournament
The National Service Scheme (NSS) of Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, Thrissur, successfully organized a Football Tournament on 12 January 2026 at the college ground. The tournament was conducted in association with വിമുക്തി, as part of its initiative to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and physical fitness among students.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various higher secondary schools. The college ground was filled with energy and excitement as teams competed with great spirit, discipline, and commitment. Through this tournament, the NSS aimed to encourage students to adopt healthy lifestyles and engage in positive activities through sports.
After a series of competitive matches, the tournament concluded with the following results:
- 🥇 First Prize: Model Boys Higher Secondary School, Thrissur
- 🥈 Second Prize: Government Higher Secondary School, Cherpu
The winners were applauded for their excellent performance and team coordination. The programme was well-organized with the active involvement of NSS volunteers, ensuring the smooth conduct of the event.
Overall, the football tournament was a grand success and effectively conveyed the message of youth empowerment through sports, leaving a lasting impact on all participants and spectators.

3 DAY CREATIVE WORKSHOP
The Department of Social Work, Don Bosco College, in association with Play Patio, successfully organised a 3-Day Creative Theatre Workshop from 7 to 9 January 2026 for Social Work students. The programme aimed to promote creativity, self-expression, teamwork, and social awareness through theatre-based learning.The workshop was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Dr. Jimmy Jose SDB, Principal of Don Bosco College, who highlighted the relevance of theatre in social work education as a tool for developing empathy, communication skills, and social engagement. The sessions were led by Mr. Praveen Narayan, who conducted interactive and experiential activities including theatre games, improvisation, role play, and group performances. The training helped students understand the use of creative theatre and street plays in addressing social issues. The workshop was highly successful and fruitful, enabling students to build confidence, improve communication skills, and strengthen group bonding. The programme provided a meaningful and enriching learning experience for the students.

NSS Social Integration Camp: ‘Navajeev’
The seven-day NSS Social Integration Camp, ‘Navajeev,’ was successfully conducted from 26th December 2025 to 1st January 2026 at St. Anton Vidyapeeth, Vilangannoor.. The camp aimed at fostering social responsibility, national integration, and community involvement among student volunteers.
The active involvement and enthusiastic participation of the student leaders and NSS volunteers played a crucial role in achieving the objectives of the camp. Various activities conducted during the camp promoted teamwork, leadership, discipline, and social awareness among the participants.

Feliz Natal 2025 ; Christmas Celebration
Don Bosco College, Mannuthy hosted a festive Christmas celebration titled "Feliz Natal 2025" to usher in the holiday season with joy and community spirit.
The event was graced by Ms. Soumya Pratheesh, Councillor of Ward No. 16, Krishnapuram, who attended as the Chief Guest. Her presence added a sense of civic connection to the campus festivities.
The Feliz Natal 2025 program successfully brought the college community together, fostering a spirit of peace and togetherness as the year drew to a close.

Christmas Celebration at DIVYAHRUYASRAM : By NSS Unit
The NSS Unit of Don Bosco College, Mannuthy celebrated Christmas with the inmates of Divyahrudayashram, Chennaipara.
As part of the celebration, the NSS volunteers distributed cakes to the inmates and actively engaged with them through various cultural programmes. The volunteers organized dances and games, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere. The programme helped to spread the message of love, care, and togetherness, reflecting the true spirit of Christmas.

Christmas Carol Visit
The Jesus Youth members of Don Bosco College, Mannuthy organised a Christmas Carol visit to the District Hospital on 19th December 2025 as part of their Christmas outreach activities. The visit was undertaken with the intention of spreading joy, hope, and the true spirit of Christmas among patients, hospital staff, and visitors.

Mastering Emotions: A Workshop by the Department of Psychology and Mindcraft
The Department of Psychology at Don Bosco College, Mannuthy, in collaboration with "Mindcraft," organized a specialized session titled "Emotional Management through Behavior Techniques". The event featured Mr. Jayan Namboodiri as the resource person. Scheduled for December 15, 2025, the session commenced at 10:00 AM at the Auditorium. The program aimed to explore behavioral techniques for better emotional regulation, supported by the Mindcraft initiative, which operates under the tagline "We Listen, Care & Cure".
